About Telana Lynum

Telana has been a ham since birth. She started singing and making up songs at 18 months. At age 4, determined to gain the spotlight, Telana asked her mother to get her an agent. At age 5, Telana auditioned and landed her first play, Peter Pan, at Desert Stages Theatre. She has since gone on to appear in 11 plays.

At age 7, Telana signed with her first agent. Not long after, she went to Hollywood to try her luck in pilot season and in just one month, booked five shorts and a lead role in the independent feature film, GI Jesús.

Telana is an A student and when she's not acting, singing or reading, she enjoys shopping at Limited Too, riding her bike, skateboarding, watching the Disney Channel, Nickolodeon or the Lifetime Channel (with her nana). Telana loves to read and especially loves reading books about witches, Egypt and anything scary or yucky.

Lest you get the wrong impression Telana is no tomboy!! She loves to get her hair done, pedicures, manicures, massages and is always getting in trouble for playing with her mother's makeup. As a matter of fact, while some kids anxiously await driving their first car, Telana awaits her first trip to the spa. Another hobby Telana loves is doing movie makeup. After learning a few tricks on the set of GI Jesús from the special effects guy, she is always trying to scare her mom with her "wounds".

Telana is Portuguese, Hawaiian, French, Filipino, and Puerto Rican and is very proud of her heritage. She has wanderlust and aims to travel to every country that her ancestors hail from. So far, from her list, she has made it to Hawai'i (not a country anymore) and Portugal. She has also spent considerable amounts of time in Japan, England, Greece, Turkey, Jamaica, Mexico, Crete and many other Greek Islands as well as about 20 of the U.S. states.

Telana looks forward to returning to Jamaica,Japan and Hawaii and visiting Spain for the first time later this year.
